PICTURE POST: EASY PEASY

A new picture post today! It’s a little easy outfit for a hot but rainy day! Basics together make a really fun and comfortable outfit! Wearing my favourite knitted vest & new shopper of a really cute & fun kitchen-cooking shop called Dille & Kamille! They sell the most amazing, cute kitchen stuff like little pots & pans, towels & other stuff! Anything that has to do with food or your kitchen is there! They don’t have one very close to where I live, so when my mom and I see one when we’re abroad we immediately run to go in there! I brightened up this look by using a light blue coloured eye pencil above my eyes, check it out down here:

MUSTHAVE: THE MOCHILA BAG

Ooh La La! This is the musthave of the summer: The Mochila Bag! These colourful little bucket bags are a real hit, and more & more stores start to sell them.

Let start with the funny fact that “Mochila” is just the way to say “Bag” in South America. There are many different styles & techniques to make them, which depends on which country it’s made in. Mochilas can be knitted of loads of different materials, but the real hand made ones are always from natural materials! This also depends on which country, cause every country uses different recourses. The bags are inspired on old traditions, the more natural the materials the more close to the real tradition.

They just finish up the perfect festival-summer-fun look! The colour, the form, the size! It’s just so light & it brightens up your outfit! Stores like ModeMusthaves and YourOwnStylist cell them now 2! Check them out for sure! But they’re in so many stores, cause it’s such a trend!

Here are a few I liked:

MY ABC: SHOES

A new ABC-list today, this one is about shoes!

A: The A is for All-Stars, Converse All-Stars are one of my favourite shoes! I just love them! They look great with everything! A long Jeans, a short, a dress, a skirt! Anything works! They’re so comfortable & fun, I think they’re a real musthave in everybody’s closet!

B: The B is for Birkenstocks. I know most people don’t like them, but I find them incredible comfortable & make your look a little bit more vintage & fun! They’re still a trend, but the opinions about them are very diverse!

C: The C is for Colour, the colour of your shoe is incredible important! If you wear certain colour clothing your shoes need to match. So before you buy a new pair; think about the colours in your closet and if they match with them.

D: The D is for Dancing. When I go out, I want to dance! So you need a good pair of sneakers and heels you can dance in! Sneakers for a party, but the heels for a special occasion, like a wedding! You don’t want to sit down the whole time because your feet hurt like hell!

E: The E is for Extra. It doesn’t hurt to have an extra pair of flat shoes with you when you’re on a party that asks for heels. It’s okay to say after a few hours; ‘I’m done, I’m switching to my flats’ As long as the look good with your outfit! ;-)

F: The F is for Fun. Have some fun with your shoes, you don’t need to be all strict and the same as everybody else. I like to tie my shoelaces from my All-Stars around my ankle to make it more fun & crazy! I also have boots with a lace, which I also tie around my ankle for a more spontaneous outcome.

G: The G is for Ground. Be steady in your shoes, feel the ground you walk over. That’s for safety, cause you don’t want to sprain your ankle because you have uncomfortable & unsafe shoes.

H: The H is for… you can guess it: HEELS. I have only one rule with heels, they need to fit great. Cause then can look amazing but if you can’t walk on them because they’re to high or the hurt your feet, through them out!

I: The I is for iconic. You have certain iconic shoes like laced heels, brocks, and more of these. I love that they send a sort of vintage vibe over your outfit! If you mix & match them right they can be the cherry on your pie.

J: The J is for Jeans. We almost all own a pair of jeans, most people only wear jeans pants. So when you do, find the perfect shoes that match your jeans. Cause when you have wide pipes you wear different shoes then with a skinny jeans.

K: The K is for Keep. Keep your shoes, you don’t want to through your shoes away to soon, like when they’re dirty, just wash them first. They might look really good after they come out of the washing machine. And when you’re bored with your shoes, change them up. Just don’t through them away to fast, that’s a waste.

L: The L is for lace. TIE YOUR LACE, you don’t want to fall flat on your face cause you haven’t tied your lace. So either tie them or put them in your shoes, but don’t let them wave around.

M: The M is for Move. Move, Move, Move around before you buy your shoes. The might feel fine the first 3 steps, but what about over 15 steps? And over a 100? So be sure the fit right.

N: The N is for Narrow. Some shoes can be to narrow, DON’T BUY THEM! It might now hurt that much at first but believe me in a few days you’re feet will hurt like hell. DON’T DO IT!

O: The O is for Occasion, we all have special occasions that ask for certain shoes. So be sure you have shoes for every occasion in your life, so you don’t have to run a marathon in your all-stars, or do the garden in your heels.

P: The P is for Perfect. Some shoes are just perfect, and the might cost a little more, but when they’re perfect, they’re worth it.

Q: The Q is for Question? You have a question about shoes? Ask a fashion question in the comment section below, or click at the contact button.

R: The R is for Rain. Make sure your shoes are good in rain! Spray them in, and make sure they don’t get ruined in one day by wearing them on a rainy day.

S: The S if for Straps. Straps are good with every kind of shoe, sandals, heels, over boots, all is great! Straps give your shoes something extra.

T: The T is for Turn, make sure you can turn on them, cause if they’re to rough you can really hurt your ankle or knee.

U: The U is for UGG’s. Those warm, sweet and wintery looking boots. I don’t own a pair but I used to and they’re just SO SOFT! WOW! So if you do get the chance, at least fit them, I promise you, once you have them on, you don’t want to take them off.

V: The V is for Ventilation. Your feed need air cause otherwise they will be even more stinky and sweaty as normal! UGH! So make sure your shoes ventilate a little bit, to prevent from more stinky-ness and hotness. ;-)

W: The W is for Winter Boots. Find yourself the perfect winter boots. I’m so excited to go shopping for a new pair when summer is over. Find the pair that fits your style.

X: The X is for a X-cross on your ‘Need-These-Shoes’-list. We all have certain shoes we want but they’re too expensive or just un-findable. So write them down, and slowly through the years you can cross of certain items. That feels so good!

Y: The Y is for… Y don’t know… haha, there is no freaking word beginning with the Y that has anything to do with shoes. So yeah…. I don’t know with an Y!

Z: The Z is for Zipper. Some shoes have a zipper, just make sure it works well before you buy it. Cause shoes can be beautiful but if the zipper doesn’t work right, you’ll irritate yourself so much every time you work the zipper and it doesn’t work…

I hope you liked this ABC-List!

Lots of Love,

TREND WATCH: MIAMI CALLING

Take a few palm trees, a pop colour and a mix of pineapples & some summer cocktails. Welcome to Miami! This is the trend of this summer! Clothes with prints of pineapples and palm trees combined with another clothing item in a pop colour! Mix & Match Miami!

It’s summer, 30 degrees outside & the sun is shining bright! Aren’t we all dreaming of riding through a lovely boulevard in Miami, or lying on Miami Beach itself? The palm trees slowly waving in the wind, getting a pineapple cocktail, relaxing, that’s the life! Sadly, not everybody can pay for a holiday in Miami, so if we can’t get to Miami, why not bring Miami to us? :)

This trend is for the happy, beach-loving fashionista out there. Mix a pop colour plain top with a printed short or skirt. Or the other way around; a basic short with a printed top. It doesn’t matter how; the Miami style can be small or can take over your entire outfit! That’s your choice, for some inspiration on how to mix this look, check this out:

WHO’S THAT GIRL? THE SISTERS LOIS AND AMBER WATTIMENA

The sisters Loïs and Amber did what every fashionista dreams off; they started their own clothing line. And 2 years later their brand ‘LA Sisters’ is a hit!

LA Sisters is a fashion label owned and operated by the two sisters Loïs (16 years old) and Amber (18 years old). Two years ago they decided to turn our hobby into a career. Instead of just shopping the clothes they like, they now design them their-self. The idea started when they were on a holiday in Los Angeles. They wanted to combine a mix of European style with a little American touch. Using the first letters of their names, Loïs and Amber, and the fact that the fashion came from Los Angeles to Amsterdam, the brand name LA Sisters came to life.

They work with the motto: To Be Forever Young! And that’s what you see in their amazing clothing. They have 40 sell points in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Sweden. They recently hired their first employees, 2 boys to help with things like selling the clothing. And in 2013 they opened their own showroom in the World Fashion Centre in Amsterdam.

I really love their brand because it’s is fun, edgy with a twist. They work a lot with printed tops & leggings and that is exactly my kind of style. You want to check out their website? Click here.  And of course because they’re living the dream and they did it all on their own. They put all their own money in it, they worked hard besides high school, they deserved it!

Check some of their amazing collection out:

TREND WATCH: THE ‘FLOWING & CUT-OUT’- STYLE

Adios Ruches, hello soft flowing fabric. The colour pallet for this trend exists out of soft, light and lady-like colours. With forms like the V-neck, showing of the diaphragm with a cropped top or see-through fabric and cut-outs, loads of cut-outs to preventing the style to become to girly and make it more daring and hot!

This style is really hot this summer. The soft silk fabric & the light colors on sexy fashion items through loads of cut-outs. You can make a sophisticated look more though & hot. The snobby ruches go out & flowing fabric makes your look more fashionable.

The reason I like this style so much is because I’m not a really girly dresser, but I do like some feminime looks & styles. This look takes the girly part out of the feminime items. It gives it an edge, but in a sophisticated way.

Here is a little inspiration to see how to get this trend in to your look:
